Fun Fact
You can call Malik "Mr. Versatility." He signed with Syracuse
as a quarterback, and then decided to try his hand with the basketball team, where
he was a defensive specialist.
And when he finally gave up basketball
for football, full time, he was moved to wide receiver. Now Malik might
add punt returner to his resume.

2000 Notes:
Malik made an impressive debut at the wide receiver position, emerging
as a viable threat down the stretch of the season. He will press for a
starting job at wide receiver in just his second full year at the position.
11/4 West Virginia Update:
Malik had his single biggest moment as an Orangeman as he grabbed the winning
touchdown from R.J. Anderson on a fade pattern with 10 seconds remaining.
