2000 Notes:
Duke enters his senior season as the premier pass-rusher in the Big East
conference. He and Dwight Freeney rate as the top defensive end-duo in
the conference.
10/7 Pittsburgh Update:
Duke finally registered his first sack of the season against Pittsburgh. And
it was only one of the several times he was in the backfield
of the Panthers as Duke registered his first impact game of his senior season
just when Syracuse needed him to do so.
10/21 Virginia Tech Update:
Duke had a big game against Virginia Tech in a losing effort. It was
the third game in a row that Duke posted at least one sack.
11/4 West Virginia Update:
Duke posted a sack in his fourth consecutive game. All this after a stretch
of four games in which he didn't record a single sack.
11/11 Temple Update:
Duke kept his streak alive with 1.5 sacks against Temple, pushing his season
total to seven and his career total to 24, putting him second all-time in Syracuse
history behind Tim Green.
