When Dee Brown signed with Syracuse in February 1996 he was one of five Floridians to sign with Syracuse.  Entering his final year of eligibility he is the only one of the five still on campus.

The other four were Derrick Corley, Ronald Moore, Khalil White and Dennis McCormack.

2000 Notes:

Enters 2000 as co-starter at tailback position along with Junior James Mungro.  Will likely pass
2000 career yards rushing in the year 2000 joining David Walker, Malcolm Thomas and Kyle McIntosh as Syracuse backs as the most recent 2000 yard backs.

9/2 Buffalo Update:

Dee started his senior campaign with a terrific performance in which he carried the ball 18 times for 157 yards and one touchdown and also catching a touchdown pass from Troy Nunes
Dee is The Orange Report's Offensive Player of the Game for the Buffalo Game.


9/9 Cincinnati Update:


Dee carried the ball 17 times for 57 yards against a front geared towards stopping the run.  He had the Orange's two most impressive runs of the game

9/23 East Carolina Update:

Dee again had the most touches of a Syracuse offensive player, toting the ball 78 yards on 17 carries and looking particularly productive on the first drive of the second half, where he scored Syracuse's second and last touchdown of the game.

9/30 BYU Update:

Dee had another solid performance, making a number of solid runs in totalling 64 yards on 13 carries in the Orangemen's 42-14 victory over BYU.  Dee has had the most carries of any Orangeman in all four games this season.  He needs only 49 yards to reach the 2000 yard plateau for his career.

10/7 Pittsburgh Update:

Dee broke the 2000 yard career plateau with a 17 carry, 71 yard performance in a victory over Pittsburgh.  It was yet another solid performance from a very solid player.

10/14 Boston College Update:

Dee surpassed the 100 yard mark for the second time this season against the Eagles in a losing effort.

10/21 Virginia Tech Update:

Dee led Syracuse in rushing, toting the ball for 71 yards on the ground in a losing effort.

11/4 West Virginia Update:

Dee was the biggest weapon in the Syracuse arsenal against the Mountaineers, totaling 96 yards and a touchdown on eight carries and leading the team with five receptions and scoring a pass through the air as well.

11/11 Temple Update:

Dee put together another strong game and is very quietly having a career year for the Orange.  He rushed for 84 yards and two scores on 13 carries against the Owls, pushing his season totals to 781 yards and six scores on 139 carries.
